Burt Reynolds Park
Representing Palm Beach County, 2GHO processed the site plan application and dock expansion through the Town of Jupiter and various regulating agencies for Burt Reynolds Park in Jupiter. 2GHO designed a flowing site plan with well thought-out details, native and naturalistic landscape, and water saving irrigation. Existing tree inventory was executed, and involved mitigation tree relocation and exotic removal. Two additional dock areas for launched boat staging were designed, the first located on the west side of U.S. Highway One north of the existing boat ramps, and the other just east of the boat ramps. 2GHO saw the project through the construction administration process and handled all issues which occurred during the final stages of implementation.
More recently, 2GHO is responsible for the Burt Reynolds Park west side improvements site and landscape design. The western section of this boat launching facility was in need of upgrades to match its growing popularity. New native landscape was added and the parking area was reconfigured to better accommodate boaters. To improve the safety of users, a pedestrian connection to the eastern section of the park was added under the bridge. The former Chamber of Commerce building was removed and replaced with public restrooms. 2GHO handled the project through construction administration.
Burt Reynolds Park is one of Jupiter’s prime boat launching facilities and handles hundreds of users each weekend. The park serves as a vital extension of the Town of Jupiter’s Riverwalk, providing public access to the water from U.S. Highway One.
